My Background:
After receiving a bachelors of science from Western Washington University, I earned my doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Puget Sound. I have continued to expand my knowledge and skills through ongoing education and certifications, including the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction, lymphedema, cancer rehabilitation, and a board certification as a specialist in orthopedics. I am committed to staying at the forefront of the latest advancements in physical therapy to offer my patients the most effective and evidence-based treatments available.
My lymphedema certification is through the Academy of Lymphatic Studies. I am trained in Complete Decongestive Therapy, including manual lymph drainage (Vodder Method) and compression bandaging.
My Approach:
My approach to physical therapy is patient-centered and holistic. I understand that every individual is unique, and I take the time to listen to your concerns, assess your condition, and develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs and goals. I understand a lot of the specific needs of patients undergoing cancer treatment and am prepared to assist with this. I believe that effective communication and education are key components of successful therapy, and I'm here to answer your questions and guide you throughout your journey to recovery.
What Sets Me Apart:
I am not only dedicated to the physical aspects of your treatment but also to your overall well-being. I take pride in creating a supportive and inclusive environment where you can feel empowered to take control of your health. My goal is to help you achieve optimal physical function, reduce pain, and improve your quality of life.
As a former rower for WWU, I continue to be active in the rowing community with the Whatcom Rowing Association. Sometimes I’m rowing, sometimes volunteering. Additionally, I enjoy swimming, running slowly, and strength training. When not in the office or on the water I love spending time with my husband and three children.

(She/Her)
I grew up in a small town in Northeast Ohio where I was active in volleyball, track and dance. It was at this time that I knew I wanted to learn more about the human body and help people with their rehabilitation process. I graduated from Ohio University with a major in Biological Sciences and a minor in dance, and then earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in Florida in 2002. It was here that I received manual therapy training and went back 1 year later to become a Certified Manual Physical Therapist.
I currently specialize in manual therapy, pelvic health, and temporomandibular disorders as well as various other orthopaedic impairments. I have worked in a variety of settings which has enriched my knowledge and have taken continuing education courses through the Institute of Physical Art, the North American Institute of Manual Orthopaedic Therapy, Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, and visceral mobilization.
Taking care of your body can be a challenging experience and pain can have a significant impact on the quality of your life. I love helping people on this journey and believe everyone should have support in regards to our musculoskeletal and overall well being! I approach treatment by viewing each person individually as a puzzle we can solve together. I help interpret your body’s language/symptoms to see what it is trying to tell you and what it needs. Together we work towards getting to the root cause of the physical symptoms and develop an individualized treatment plan in order to help reduce pain, restore optimal movement, and return to the activities you love. Whether you’re dealing with chronic pain or recovering from an injury, I look forward to offering my skills, knowledge and compassion to support you every step of the way on your journey to whole-person wellness.
When not in the clinic I enjoy spending time with my husband and 3 children, hiking, traveling, running, biking, camping, kayaking, dancing, playing in the garden with our chickens (the ladies), and just enjoying what this beautiful area has to offer.
